Nashville, TN –- Hot on the heels of their 2017 Stellar Award for “Youth Project of the Year” for It’s My Time, New Haven Records announced the November 23rd street date of Another Chance, Joshua Troop’s first full-length album since 2010’s Troop Nation. Originally founded as a youth choir to provide urban Chicago teens a positive alternative to gang and street life, Joshua’s Troop is comprised of teenagers and young adults aging from sixteen and beyond who praise God through song and energetic live performance. Infusing contemporary hip-hop and spoken word elements with familiar gospel sensibilities, Another Chance brings Joshua’s Troop’s message of redemption to today’s generation of youth while expanding their reach into more mainstream gospel marketplace. Produced and co-written by legendary gospel talent Percy Gray, Jr. (New Direction, Chicago Mass Choir), Another Chance is electrifyingly eclectic–featuring songs of encouragement, evangelism, repentance, testimony, worship, and even a rousing a cappella piece. The title track is already gaining traction at Gospel radio. Radio promoter Snoopy Hanna of Mighty Dominion Entertainment says, “’Another Chance’ has ‘hit’ written all over it: contagious melody, irresistible groove, fresh production, and heartfelt message!” An alternative mix of “Another Chance” has rapper D Nell joining soloist Gerald Moore (G Moe) to kick the contagious debut single into high gear. New Haven Records president Ken Harding is delighted with Another Chance: “Time and again, God offers all of us ‘another chance.’ Joshua’s Troop was formed to give kids ‘another chance.’ And New Haven Records couldn’t be more pleased to have another opportunity to share Joshua Troop’s music with the world!” Official artist videos and lyric clips, including the “Another Chance” single, are being promoted to YouTube, VEVO, FaceBook, and other video platforms—joining the tens of millions of views from nearly 100 video performances, including their mega-hit “Everybody Clap Your Hands.” Producer Percy Gray, Jr. concludes, “From the beginning, Joshua’s Troop has aimed at creating relevant music for youth culture that builds a bridge to church culture. People who follow the Troop will find that we’ve reinvented our sound while still being true to our roots. Trust me, Another Chance has been worth the wait!” |
